DIV Games Studio is an Integrated Developing Environment including a powerful game engine running in MSDOS and a scripting language to create games for it. The language itself has structures simmilar to Pascal and C. Programs are events and processes oriented.
The package contains everything you need to create a game from scratch (bar the music): a powerful graphics editor, resource manager and digital sound editor.
It was originally developed by Hammer Technologies and released in 1997.
The language and engine have evolved since the MSDOS days in several forms such as Fenix, Gemix Studio, Bennu Game Development, DIV GO or DIV DX.
